Reflection is a wonderful thing...and noting that it is nearly three weeks since my last update, I am finding that this course is also teaching me the importance of time...and how productivity tools can be a savior...or be Satan!
Today, I tried to create a ScreenR for ITEC 7460 - and it would seem that the Java 7 updates don't seem to want to play ball with any brower except Explorer. My MacBook would not comply and as the hours wore on, what is a simple tool to use (I had the recording below done in the five minutes flat!), took two - and only because my husband sitting opposite me at our kitchen table was able to:
1. Give me a heads up that Java 7 has many problems from forums that he looked at
2. He is a PC user...so he gave me his PC to complete the task!
Either way, this is a great reflection moment for me. Productivity tools are amazing - but our interfaces change so rapidly that ScreenR's that we made last year may need to be updated - and when the base technology does not work due to upgrades and bugs, frustration can mount for the practioner...in this case ME!
Either way - problem solved...take a look at my Cool Tool for ITEC 7460 and see what you think my clicking here!
